Route of the Kaqchikel – Tecpán to Lake Atitlán Friday & Saturday | Departures from Antigua & Tecpán Join us this Friday and Saturday for two unforgettable days of mountain biking connecting the Guatemalan highlands with the shores of Lake Atitlán. Starting in the pine forests above Tecpán at nearly 3,000 meters, we’ll ride a network of remote backroads, forest trails, and traditional Mayan villages before descending over 2,000 vertical meters to Panajachel on the shores of Lake Atitlán. Day two explores the legendary trails above the lake, including breathtaking views of the volcanoes, flowing singletrack, and a final descent to the colorful lakeside villages of San Juan and San Marcos.
