We are looking for positive and energetic mountain bike guides and instructors to join our team this season!
Mountain Bike Guatemala is an industry leading mountain bike guiding and coaching company based in the mountains of Tecpán, Guatemala. We offer guided day trips from Antigua and Tecpán, as well as multi-day tours throught the country. We also provide shuttle services, lessons, and skills clinics.
This is a part time seasonal position with casual working hours which may lead to full time, seasonal employment opportunities in the future. Applicants are required to have flexible schedules and the ability to pick up shifts upon short notice.

Duties Include:
Preparing and managing rental equipment

Producing high quality photo and video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Delivering an agreed upon amount of professional quality photos and video clips, fully produced and edited promotional videos, or weekly “vlog” style YouTube videos.
Working with our management team to develop and implement social media and email marketing strategies.
Job Requirements:
Education and/or previous experience with digital marketing and content creation.
Previous experience planning, filming, and producing professional quality video edits.
Previous experience planning and executing professional quality photo shoots.

Must have your own modern and well maintained enduro style mountain bike and be a proficient and fit rider. You don’t have to be a pro but you will be riding some of the biggest and sometimes gnarliest trails in the world.
Must have your own high quality video and photo equipment (cameras, drone, GoPro’s etc.) as well as a computer with editing software, and mobile device.
Other Assets Include:
Experience with graphic design.

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bicycle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for cycling, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience working with a variety of bicycles from mountain to e-bikes. In addition to regular service and repairs, this role involves maintaining a fleet of bikes used for tours and rentals, ensuring every bike is safe, reliable, and tuned for an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repairs, and safety checks on bicycles (mountain, road, hybrid, e-bikes, etc.).
Assemble new bikes and ensure they are tuned to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain and manage a fleet of bicycles for guided tours and rentals, including regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Adjust gears, brakes, suspension, and true wheels.
Install and service components such as drivetrains, bottom brackets, headsets, and wheelsets.
Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
Assist customers and tour guests with technical advice, quick fixes, and equipment setup.
Support guides and staff in preparing bikes for daily tours and ensuring availability of spares.
Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic or in a related technical role.
Strong knowledge of bicycle components, tools, and repair techniques.
Experience maintaining a bike fleet is highly desirable.
Ability to work with modern drivetrains (Shimano, SRAM) and e-bike systems.
Experience with suspension servicing and hydraulic brake systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred (but not required)
Passion for cycling and participation in local riding communities.
Basic knowledge of logistics and field repairs during tours.
