Imagine a day on the bike that threads together everything that makes Lake Atitlán magic. Our November 25 Lake Atitlán XC Ride follows a flowing 27 km cross-country route through pine forest, terraced farmland, and quiet Kaqchikel villages perched high above the water. The views come in waves—broad ridgelines, volcanic backdrops, and hidden miradores where the whole lake opens up beneath you.

Midway through the ride we’ll stop for a delicious local lunch, the kind of home-cooked meal you only find in the highlands. Later, the route drops us right into the ancient Mayan pyramids of Semetabaj, a cultural detour that feels like stumbling into a pocket of history carved into the hillside.

It’s a beautiful mix of riding, scenery, and culture—steady climbs, fun descents, and a rhythm that lets you take in the landscape instead of rushing through it. Perfect for XC riders who want a real taste of Atitlán’s high-country trails.
