Join us for 3 days of mountain biking, camping and exploring on a new route that connects the heart of Quiché, crosses the Motagua river and finishes at the Mayan Ruins of Mixco Viejo.
Parting off from the deep forests of Tecpán, we will cross one of the largest canyons in the country: the Motagua River Valley. Follow ridgelines along spectacular landscapes, go deep into the Guatemalan desert and finish up at the impressive Ruins of Mixco Viejo!

Beginning high above in the lush cloud forests of Tecpán, we will explore unfrequented areas and communities with the most impressive views as we pedal our way all the way down to the bottom of the Motagua River Valley.
Hotel: Glamping at the Río Motagua (Pools, showers, bathrooms and charging facilites)
On this day we will enter a new region. The state of Quiché is known for its rich culture, impressive landscapes and vast dry forests. We will traverse the ridge high above the Motagua River Valley heading out to the infamous town of Joyabaj.

On our last riding day, we will adventure into the desert of Quiché, following cowpaths, crossing canyons and connecting all the way to the Mayan Ruins of Mixco Viejo. After having lunch, we will check out the ruins before driving back to Antigua/Tecpán.

Patzún Shuttle day
We will do shuttle runs in Patzún, connecting the most fun and flowy trails and double tracks in town! Get to know the vibrant culture of Patzún, adventure into its deep lush forest and enjoy the most amazing views of the region on your way down!
